Exayard provides two ways to export estimate data: reports for structured takeoff and line item summaries, and spreadsheets for custom tabular data. Both support download in multiple formats.
Exporting reports
Open the Reports panel from the project workspace. Select a report from the dropdown in the toolbar. Line item reports include Line items, Line items by takeoff, Line items by SKU, Line items by folder, and Line items by cost type.
Click the Export button and choose a format.
Format | Best for |
XLSX | Full-featured export with formatting and group headers |
CSV | Simple text format for importing into other tools |
The export includes all visible columns and group subtotals. Customize which columns appear using the column picker before exporting so the file contains exactly what you need.
Choosing columns
The column picker in the reports toolbar controls which fields appear in both the on-screen table and exported files. Line item report columns include:
Column | Description |
Line item | Item name |
Takeoff | Parent takeoff symbol |
Cost type | Material, labor, equipment, subcontract, or other |
Qty | Calculated quantity from formula |
Units | Unit of measure |
Cost each | Cost per unit |
Cost total | Quantity multiplied by cost per unit |
Price total | Cost total plus markup |
Additional columns like Formula, Waste %, SKU, Markup %, Markup each, Markup total, and Price each are available but hidden by default. Toggle them on for detailed exports.
Filtering before export
Narrow the report data before exporting. Use the Scope filter to limit results to a specific folder or page. Use the Type filter to show only count, linear, or area takeoffs. The export reflects whatever is currently visible.
For line item reports, the grouping you select also structures the export. Grouping by cost type, for example, creates section headers in the XLSX file for each material, labor, and equipment group.
Exporting spreadsheets
Spreadsheets in Exayard have their own export options. Open a spreadsheet from the Sheets panel and click the Download button in the toolbar. Choose from XLSX, CSV, or PDF.
The PDF option opens a print dialog where you configure paper size, orientation, margins, and scale before generating the file. The XLSX and CSV options download immediately.
Printing
Spreadsheets support browser-based printing. The print dialog lets you configure page setup including paper size (letter, A4, legal, tabloid), orientation, margins, and scaling. You can repeat frozen rows and columns on every page and add custom headers and footers.
Reports do not have a built-in print option. To print a report, export it as XLSX or CSV and print from your spreadsheet application, or copy the data into a project spreadsheet and use its print functionality.
