Credits are the currency for AI-powered features in Exayard. Each AI operation—automatic counting, measurements, plan analysis, or chat assistant questions—draws from your organization's credit balance based on the complexity of the task.

Types of credits

Exayard tracks three distinct credit pools, each with different expiration rules:

Monthly credits come from your subscription and refresh each billing cycle. Starter plans receive $100 per user; Professional plans receive $250. These credits are allocated to each team member individually. Unused monthly credits roll over for one additional month before expiring. The billing page shows how many days remain until your next refresh.

Purchased credits are one-time additions you buy when your allocation runs short. They belong to the organization and are shared across all members. They require an active paid subscription to use and expire one year from purchase. Minimum purchase is $500, maximum is $10,000.

Gifted credits occasionally appear through promotions, referrals, or customer support resolutions. They are allocated to individual members and expire one year from issuance.

Consumption order

The system always uses credits with the earliest expiration date first, regardless of type. This approach prevents unnecessary expiration and maximizes the value of your balance.

Viewing your balance

The Credit balance card in Settings > Billing displays your total and a breakdown by type. A visual credit card shows your available balance, along with the countdown to your next monthly reset. The breakdown table lists Gifted Credits, Monthly Credits, Purchased Credits, and Total Available Credits.

When credits run low

If your balance drops while you are working, purchase additional credits from the Add Credits card in Billing settings. Select a preset amount ($500, $1,000, or $2,500) or enter a custom value. For ongoing peace of mind, configure auto top-up to purchase credits automatically when your balance falls below a threshold you define.

AI-powered features become unavailable when credits reach zero, but manual features continue working. Your monthly allocation refreshes on your billing date or you can purchase more at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Do credits transfer between team members? Monthly and gifted credits are allocated per member. Purchased credits belong to the organization and are shared across all members. Each user's available balance combines their personal monthly and gifted credits with the organization's purchased credits.

What happens if I run out? AI features pause until you purchase more or your monthly credits refresh. Manual measurements and other non-AI tools remain available.

Do credits expire if I cancel my subscription? Purchased credits stay in your account but cannot be used without an active paid subscription. Monthly credits stop refreshing when your subscription ends.
