The project page is the right side of a project, beside the chat. It is one page that scrolls, with everything about the project in sections. Open a sheet or a report and it fills the same space. For the wider layout, see Understanding the interface.
The top of the page
The project's name heads the page. Click it to open the project menu, where you can pin, archive, or delete the project, open Project settings, or start a New project.
To the right of the name are the people viewing the project with you, Share project, and the bid status. The project owner sees Share project and the bid status. Click the bid status to set it to Draft, Submitted, Won, or Lost, and to add a due date and a bid value.
Sections
The sections run from the shortest to the longest, so a long list of sheets never pushes your bid out of sight. A section with nothing in it is left out.
Cards: anything that needs you, such as symbols to confirm after a takeoff or how to start your first takeoff
Bid: the bid documents for the project. Click New bid to generate one from your takeoffs and line items.
Reports: shortcuts to the most used reports once the project has takeoffs. Click View all to see every report.
Chats: your recent conversations in this project. Click Show all for older ones, or New chat to start one.
Sheets and Files: your drawings and everything you uploaded
Sheets and Files
The last section has a switch between Sheets and Files. Sheets shows the drawing set as pages, each with its takeoff counts. Files shows your uploads in their folders, with documents and spreadsheets alongside them.
Use the + button to upload files, add a folder, or create a document. Switch between grid and list views with the view button. Click a sheet to open it.
Opening a sheet or a report
A sheet or a report opens in place of the project page. The bar above it starts with the project's name. Click it to go back to the project page. On a sheet, arrows beside the sheet's name move to the previous and next sheet.
An open report lists every report beside it, so you can switch between them. See Reports.
The takeoff list
An open sheet has the takeoff list beside the drawing. It holds two sections:
Takeoffs: your measurements, grouped into takeoffs, folders, and symbols
Templates: reusable measurement templates and starter packs
Click a measurement to highlight it on the sheet. When you select a measurement or template, its details open below the list. Drag the divider between them to give either more room. On a phone, the takeoff list opens from the Items button.
Keyboard navigation
The takeoff list is fully keyboard-driven once a row has focus. Use the arrow keys to move the selection:
Up and Down move to the previous or next row and open it
Right expands a collapsed folder, or moves down once it is open
Left collapses an expanded folder, or moves up to its parent
Home and End jump to the first and last visible rows
Search
Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) or /, or click the search icon on the left edge of the screen. Results from the project you are in come first, including sheets by name or sheet number. For more, see Searching files.
On a phone
On a phone, a Chat and Project switch at the top of the screen moves between the chat and the project page.
